Blanche Ring was an American actress, singer, and dancer who was active in the early 20th century. She was born on April 24, 1871, in Boston, Massachusetts, and began her career in vaudeville shows. She went on to perform in Broadway musicals and became a popular singer and recording artist.
Ring was known for her comedic roles and often played flappers or other lively characters. She appeared in several silent films in the 1920s, including "The Sea Wolf" (1920) and "The Toll Gate" (1920). She continued to perform on stage and screen until the mid-1930s.
Ring also composed music and wrote lyrics for her own songs, including "Come on, Papa" and "I Want to Be a Janitor's Child." She was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1972, several decades after her death on December 15, 1961.
